Some of you might noticed, that after the great breakthrough 2018 season that he got,  Karen also signed a new sponsorship deal with Head and is now no longer with Wilson. Along with that also comes a racket change.

I think that specs didn’t change much, but it’s interesting to see how much of a different racket he is using now, as there is a lot of lead on the side of the hoop and in the throat. Both locations used do de-polarize the racket. Whatever Head racket he is using now, it’s quite different than the old Wilson.

Unfortunately, he is not jet used to the new racket, as he was making a lot of unforced errors in the couple of matches that he played in 2019.

It might not have been the best idea to switch the racket, as he was just starting to play really well and closing in on top10 at the end of 2018 season.
