Since then, he seems to be more stable now, when it comes to his rackets and with his another appearance in the Australian Open quarter-finals, it seems appropriate to talk about his specs again. Even though he tries to play a bit like Federer, his racket specs are completely different. He might use the same racket mould, but the string pattern and specs are tailored to his needs. He uses his signature 18/17 string pattern, and a much more polarized racket than Federer, resulting in lower static weight, higher swing weight, balance and lover MGR/I. Because of this, he might have a higher ceiling on his shots in a vacuum, but he needs to expand a lot more energy to play and has to “muscle” the strokes more.
