Important parameters for customization
Swingweight, mass, balance, twistweight, AIM, MGR/I ,… These are all the parameters that we can measure or calculate for a specific racket, but not all of them are equally useful. We need most of them in order to calculate more important parameters like AIM and MGR/I, but it’s not practical to consider all of them while optimizing the racket-player interaction and the racket performance.
Once a decision is made on the racket with fixed base limitations (base specs, string pattern, beam construction,…), one can customize for many parameters, but to streamline and make the process efficient, while using Impacting Tennis customization process we focus on:
– Average Impact Mass – AIM
– MGR/I
– Mass
– Strings (and tension)
– Grip Shape
I advise using these parameters, if you follow the IT principles and IT customization process. I have found that using these parameters makes for an efficient customization process with consistent outcomes.
